I know this is a bad copy, but I wasn't paying attention the photo when I copied this article out of Glass magazine [Vol 9, No. 1], check out the doilies under the glass pieces.
"As for selling pieces from their glass collection, which has increased considerably in dollar value, the Fitzgeralds are not interested, thank you. 'We don't intend to resell the pieces,' states Jim emphatically. 'Money is not our interest, aesthetics is.' Daisy add, 'If it was the other way around, we would've gotten into glass collecting fast, and gotten out of it fast.' Their glass is more than just a collection of high-priced objects--each piece is more like an appreciated loved one, something you look forward to seeing throughout the day; especially as the sunlight changes, catching the glass from different perspectives. Although the Fitzgeralds haven't always been attuned to the extent of technical expertise involved in making many of their pieces, they have always appreciated the beauty of the piece, which springs from the artist's soul."
