Hilltop Artists in Residence Summer Kids Program

From the HART website:

"Hilltop Artists in Residence provides tuition-free, hands-on, experiential glass arts classes for approximately 500 students annually in grades 7 through 12. There are several opportunities for students to participate: after school, in the evening, during the summer, and during the school day at both Jason Lee Middle School and Wilson High School.

Kit Evans, Executive Director, is thrilled about the innovative artistic development and upcoming program, stating, “Incredible new shapes are being created and we’re working on expanding the kids’ skills. The results are dazzling.” While at HART youth develop trust for staff and peers through the attention, care and respect practiced daily, and are drawn to enter the highly interactive arena in which they can practice problem solving, learn to be part of a team, build relationships, and make new choices in ways that can transform their lives. This program is open to all youth ages 12-18 in Pierce County, however space is limited."
