Seattle Office of Arts and Cultural Affairs offers funding for artists for the 2010 CityArtist Project.
This funding opportunity support the development and presentation of work created by Seattle-based, independent artists. Projects may be new or works-in-progress. All projects must include a public presentation in Seattle. The Office of Arts and Cultural Affairs supports a broad range of artistic and cultural expression reflecting Seattle's diversity. Seattle, WA + Conductive Garboil Grant
Seattle artists with a significant connection to Pioneer Square working in any media or discipline are invited to apply for this grant envisioned and endowed by Seattle artist, Su Job. Applicants should demonstrate a profound ability to challenge the limits of creative discourse and its effects on our society, pushing the artistic act beyond accepted limits, definitions, or purposes while engaging audiences outside the aesthetic industrial complex.

Tacoma, WA + 5th Annual Urban Art Festival
Tacoma Art hosts the 5th Annual Urban Art Festival on August 1, 2009. Create a piece of art for showing on the day of the festival. This year’s challenge theme is Iron vs Art. Anything goes, display your interpretation of the challenge theme. Artists will be responsible for set up/tear down of art and all required items for displaying your piece. The challenge will be located at 19th and Jefferson in front of the Swiss.
