Dan Klein

Dan Klein is the author of nearly every article you've read about glass.
And Dan Klein Associates, his business, is located in the UK. He is a major force behind the Bonhams Contemporary Glass Auction this month and the author who documented the existence of the works included in this auction, by writing about them in his books and articles; many of the objects cite Dan Klein's books in lieu of a provenance.

From the Institute for International Research in Glass's website:

"Dan
Klein was elected Research Professor in Glass at the School at Arts, Design & Media in 1996. He is an author of international standing who writes predominantly on 20th Century Decorative Arts and modern and contemporary glass in particular. During the 1970s and 1980s he had his own gallery in London specialising in 20th Century Decorative Arts, and from 1985 to 1995 was Director in Charge of the 20th Century Decorative Arts at Christies in London . He had overall responsibility for sales in London , Geneva , Monaco and Amsterdam , and was nominated Vice President of Christies Switzerland in 1990. Numerous world record prices were established in auctions organised by him including world records for Lalique and Galle . Dan is author of numerous articles which have appeared in British, American, Australian, French and German magazines. His first book on the Decorative Arts was the 'All Colour Book of Art Deco', first published by Octopus Books in 1974.
